Event for expert public only
Lecturer: Malcolm Barrett, MPH

Berlin is home to many epidemiologists, but there aren’t many local platforms for us to connect, learn new methods, and discuss current issues in the field. The Berlin Epidemiological Methods Colloquium (BEMC) seeks to fill this gap via interactive monthly BEMC Talks and BEMC JClub.
Malcolm Barrett is a PhD candidate in epidemiology at the University of Southern California. He develops R packages for epidemiologic and biostatistical methods, teaches R, and organizes the Los Angeles R Users Group. In applied research Malcolm studies vision loss and eye diseases that affect vision, like diabetic retinopathy.
